Rana Hamid
Research Assistant, PhD Student
Rana Hamid is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Environmental Engineering Sciences at the University of Florida. He holds a Master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. His research explores the intersection of environmental sustainability and technology, with a focus on electronic waste management and utilizing machine learning and data-driven methods to optimize environmental systems.

Safkat Shahrier Swapnil
Research Assistant, PhD Student
Safkat Shahrier Swapnil is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Environmental Engineering Sciences at UF. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His research focuses on robotic and smart manufacturing systems, with an emphasis on reinforcement learning, data-driven modeling, and digital twin-driven decision-making for intelligent and sustainable production systems.

Md. Sakib Zaman
Research Assistant, PhD Student
Md. Sakib Zaman is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Environmental Engineering Sciences at the University of Florida. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering and has over 7 years of industry experience in software development. His interdisciplinary research explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Digital Twin and Smart Remanufacturing to advance sustainable engineering systems.

Ziyad Alshehri
Research Assistant, MS. Student
Ziyad is a Master’s student in Environmental Engineering Sciences. His academic interests include consumer electronics recovery, sustainable waste management, and emerging technologies for addressing environmental challenges. He is interested in developing practical and innovative approaches to support a more sustainable future.
